Acorn Nursery was established in year 2000 to address  the shortage of nursery places in the locality. A part of the school outer buildings was rented out to the nursery that was then able to cater for approximately 45 pre-school aged children.

The nursery is owned by Acorn Manor, a company limited by guarantee, and all directors of the company are volunteers, expending their valuable time and expertise free of charge for the betterment of the Nursery and Oakington Manor Primary School.

The entire facilities were completely demolished and rebuilt in 2016, resulting in a very modern and purpose built building and play area which now provides an excellent learning and growing environment for the children in the nursery.
